New steelwork from the twelfth to fifteenth floor levels of an existing building. Steelwork installed to create a new feature stair opening through four floors of the existing office space. The new main members, two per floor, had to span sixteen and a half metres each. As the only access to these floor levels was via the good lift, all members had to be designed no bigger than four metres and then spliced together on the floor level before lifting into place with 10 tonne electric hoists.
